A Few More Very Early Sketches

More from my attic discovery…these remind me that when I was first learning to draw, I hadn’t yet begun to understand the idea of telling a better story, visually, by leaving out unneeded detail. That stone house – oy! Not great, a suggestion of stonework strongly drawn in places would have been so much better.

Of course, this was during my first drawing class, in the hot Austin summer, so perhaps I can be forgiven for being a bit heat-addled.
