Here is another small work on paper. A bit fanciful, plus I was introducing a dark background, which is a bit unusual for my work. Just trying stuff. 🙂

So far this year, I’ve been working on some small studies for larger works. I may post the studies when the larger works are done, but that could be awhile.
In the meantime, here is a small watercolor pencil painting on paper from a couple of days ago. I started from the point of continuing my thoughts/impressions of Bontecou, but decided to aim for a simpler design and a slightly subdued (for me) palette. I love how this piece turned out!
